What you get:

A blog! Of course. You can tweak it in many ways. Make it look however you want, host advertising, list your other projects. The only thing we require is that everyone list everyone else's blogs on theirs. Your URL will be witchmoot.com/yourname.php. Really simple to link to!

No Restrictions on Personal Posts
You can post whatever you want on your personal blog. A rant, a personal story, shameless self-promotion, anything goes. Just don't get us arrested, okay.

What you give us:
All we ask is that you post 2-3 articles per month on the topic of your choice on our public feed. This article will show up on our front page, on the WitchMoot blog. It will link directly to its original source (your personal blog) and it will retain all information identifying who wrote it so you'll get full credit for everything you share.

The Rules
Public posts must not be prurient, violent or otherwise offensive in nature. They must be timely (no Samhain posts in April) and they must be relevant- that is, something the Pagan community at large would be interested in. You must not post more than one public post per day. (Our readers receive a daily digest of posts and we don't want to spam them!) You will receive weekly topic suggestions and are strongly encouraged, but not required, to write about them.

The Advantages

Freedom Without Hassle
Joining the WitchMoot instead of going off on your own has several advantages. First, you don't need to worry about paying for your own webspace and uploading and maintaining software. It's like having a free host, but with a cooler name. Instead of @Blogger, host your site @Witchmoot. Plus, your blog will be free of annoying ads, unless YOU put them there. We might put ads on the front page or in our front page feeds, but YOUR pages are yours, and so are your feeds.

Formatting Flexibility
We have a great text editor. If you're clueless, it's okay! If you've got mad HTML skills, that's great too. Our text editor makes it simple.

Privacy Options
You can post your articles to the WitchMoot public blog or just to your own blog. You can also choose to protect it so that only WitchMoot members can read it, or make it private so that only YOU can read it.

Share in the Buzz
You're going to tell your friends about your blog, and so are we. While the Witchmoot website gets lots of marketing, each one of our bloggers are spreading the word too. That means we all get to share in the buzz and the traffic that comes from it!

All you have to do is create a profile at WitchMoot.com and then send an email to admin@witchmoot.com with a sample article. Dawn will respond and ask you what you want the name of your blog to be and what you want your URL to be. She will set up your blog in the next few days and send you another email letting you know.

Then all you have to do is customize it to your liking and blog!
